A Bounty of New Teachers: The New Teachers of The ’25-’26 School Year
Ms. Grace Clarke, the newest addition to the St. Christopher’s English Department, is undoubtedly one of the warmest and most personable teachers in the Upper School. Ms. Clarke teaches two sections of World Cultures Literature to freshmen, helping to set the academic precedent that they must follow for the remainder of their time at STC. In terms of how she teaches, she aims “to be firm and fair but also friendly.” She loves working with high schoolers and emphasizes the importance of reading and writing. In my interview with her, she stated that it is “an honor to work with students and help them develop their ability to read and write.” Her passion for the subject is evident.

Ms. Clarke coaches both Cross Country and Lacrosse, which she played at the Division 1 level at the University of Richmond. She attended Collegiate for high school and so far, she has “greatly enjoyed” the STC community, stating that the community here is “welcoming” and “hospitable.” She is impressed by the emphasis on customs and traditions here on campus

In the future, she aspires to continue to grow as an educator and forge connections with students while still upholding her authority. It is evident to all those who talk to her that Ms. Clarke is a fantastic addition to the STC Upper School. So, make sure to say hello when you see her in the hallways or on the playing field, and welcome her to the STC community.
